Guy Fawkes: Bonfire night

Guy Fawkes was born on 13rd April 1570 in York, and died on 31 January 1606 in London. He was alive at the end of Queen Elizabeth I's reign, and the beginning of King James I's reign. Guy Fawkes was a Catholic, and didn't agree with the Protestant faith of the King.
On the very night that the Gunpowder Plot was foiled, on November 5th, 1605, bonfires were set alight to celebrate the safety of the King. Since then, November 5th has become known as Bonfire Night. The event is commemorated every year with fireworks and burning effigies of Guy Fawkes on a bonfire.
